With a nearly perfect 23-1 record, the Fresno City College Rams captured the 2026 Central Valley Conference baseball championships. For Fresno City, it was the program's fifth straight conference title.
The Rams easily outdistanced second-place College of the Sequoias (14-10) by a nine-game margin. Reedley College and Merced College ended tied for third place at 12-12, followed by Taft College (11-13), Coalinga College (8-16), and Porterville College (4-20).
2026 NORTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONAL PLAYOFFS | BRACKETS
With a state-best 37-3 overall record, Fresno City was rewarded with the No. 1 seed for the upcoming 3C2A Northern California Regional Playoffs. The opening-round of the playoffs feature three-team, double-elimination tournaments at the site of the region's top-eight seeds.
As the top seed, FCC will host Sierra and Merced in a regional set for May 1-3.
Joining the Rams in the postseason are Sequoias, Reedley, and Merced. COS is headed to the College of Marin No. 6 regional, Reedley is off to the No. 3 Modesto regional, and Merced will travel to the Fresno regional.
Winners of the regionals advance to the Super Regional round May 7-9 followed by the Regional Finals May 15-17. The top two teams from each region will then advance to the 3C2A State Championships at Great Park in Irvine on May 23-25.
ALL-CENTRAL VALLEY CONFERENFCE POSTSEASON AWARDS
Coalinga College's Teruki Kato took home Central Valley Conference Most Valuable Player honors, Nathan Leffel from Fresno City was selected CVC Most Valuable Pitcher while the Rams' Mitch Karraker was tabbed Coach of the Year to highlight the top conference postseason awards.
